Aviation Day is made possible by many volunteers from our local community and the City of Arcadia.  Aviation Day needs Sponsors & volunteers to step up and support our local airport.

Purpose of Aviation Day:  To promote awareness of what a local airport means to the community by showcasing General Aviation businesses both local and regional.  By getting the public out to the field to see General Aviation first hand, they learn how our airport benefits their community.

 If you are a taxpayer in Desoto County you need to know that businesses actively seek locations with a community airport when locating a plant, headquarters or distribution center.  The U.S. Dept of Commerce says that every $1 spent at local airports adds another $2.53 to the local economy.

 Our airport serves as a rallying point for airborne medical, law enforcement and disaster relief services as well as corporate and private aircraft. It is important that our airport prosper because it benefits us all directly or indirectly.

 Aviation Day could not be possible without corporate & private Sponsors to cover the costs we incur putting the event on each year. This event has no paid staff. It’s all done by local volunteers.

 We need your help to make this great local event bigger and better for 2012.

 Silver Sponsors will get listed on the site as a Sponsor.

 Gold Sponsors will get listed on the site as a Sponsor and may place a link to their website also.

 Platinum Sponsors will get listed as a Sponsor, may place a link and also place a small ad on our site.

 All “Sponsor” levels will be listed as Aviation Day Sponsors on our newspaper ads.

 Publicity in local & area newspapers:  This will be part of a media blitz to run in the Sun Herald & other papers from Fort Myers to Bartow. It will run at least two times in the weeks prior to the event. It will feature our new poster art and articles about this year’s Aviation Day.   ($2500)

 Event poster:  This will be an 11 x 17 in. full color poster and will be distributed all over S.W. Florida. It will be original art done exclusively for Aviation Day 2012.  ($600)

 Shade canopy    $ 300

Volunteers staff hats 40 @ $7 ea. =$280

 Portable toilets:  $140

 Lunch for volunteers:   40 @ $6 ea. = $240

 Volunteer appreciation dinner: 40 people (Fri. March 2^nd)

Host volunteers at your establishment, cater the dinner or supply food to be cooked on site like dogs & burgers.
